RoofSnap alternative

A RoofSnap alternative for contractors who want to measure free

RoofSnap pairs self-serve measuring, estimating and material ordering with a per-user subscription. RoofStruct gives you free, unlimited self-serve measuring and PDF reports, no card, and adds estimates and material orders on Pro.

The short answer

  • RoofSnap's pricing page lists a 7-day free trial with no card, then a per-user monthly or annual subscription, or pay-as-you-go report orders with no subscription (Oct 2026).
  • RoofStruct Free has no trial window: free, unlimited self-serve measuring and the full PDF report with RoofStruct branding, on satellite imagery or your own drone or phone photo, no card.
  • Both let you order a report measured for you. RoofStruct's done-for-you reports are measured by a technician, checked by a second one, and usually delivered within 4 hours (turnaround can vary with volume and complexity).
  • This page is written by RoofStruct, which makes one of these tools.

How RoofStruct and RoofSnap differ

Both tools let you trace a roof yourself and both sell reports measured for you. The difference is where the paywall sits. On RoofSnap, unlimited draw-it-yourself measuring comes with the subscription, after a 7-day trial (RoofSnap pricing page, Oct 2026). On RoofStruct, self-serve measuring and the PDF report are free on every plan, with no end date and no card.

RoofSnap's subscription bundles more of the sales job: estimating, material ordering with custom pricing, branded reports and contracts, in-app deposits and payments, and homeowner financing through Acorn Finance (RoofSnap, Oct 2026). RoofStruct keeps measuring free and puts the selling tools on Pro: branded Good/Better/Best estimates with e-signature, the Material Order Builder with Smart Waste, CSV/XLSX/JSON/DXF exports, and your logo and colors.

Every RoofStruct plan includes the Cost & Takeoff worksheet and a water-flow analysis of the roof you drew. You can measure on satellite imagery or upload your own drone or phone photo.

How each one prices, in words

RoofSnap's pricing page lists three routes (Oct 2026): pay-as-you-go, billed per measurement report order with no subscription; a monthly subscription billed per user; and an annual subscription billed per user, with rates set by team size. Subscribers get a monthly allowance of HD roof images and lower report prices. The page also advertises a first order free.

RoofStruct has a Free plan and a Pro subscription. Free covers unlimited self-serve measuring and the PDF report. Pro covers up to 5 team members and adds estimates, material orders, more exports and your branding. Done-for-you reports and ESX sketches are billed per order on either plan.

We keep dated prices out of this page on purpose. They change often. Our roof measurement software comparison lists the current figures for RoofSnap, iRoofing and Hover, checked October 2026.

Where RoofSnap is the better pick

If you want to take deposits and payments in the same app you estimate in, RoofSnap lists in-app payments with many payment methods and homeowner financing through Acorn Finance (Oct 2026). Those are not part of what RoofStruct offers today.

RoofSnap also suits a team that already estimates in it every day, wants branded contracts next to the estimate, and orders reports often enough to use subscriber pricing and a rush option. If that is your shop, the per-user subscription can make sense.

Using both, or switching

You don't have to cancel anything to try RoofStruct. Draw a few roofs you already measured in RoofSnap, compare the totals, and look at the PDF you would hand a homeowner or a crew. Free has no trial clock, so you can test it on real jobs at your own pace.

Some contractors keep a subscription tool for estimating and use a free self-serve tool for the many bids they will not win. Others move the whole workflow to Pro. Either way, check that your crew lead and your supplier can read the report before you switch.

Which one fits your shop

Choose RoofSnap if…

  • You want in-app deposits, payments and homeowner financing next to your estimates.
  • Your team estimates in one app every day and a per-user subscription fits your headcount.
  • You order reports often and want subscriber pricing and a rush option.

Choose RoofStruct if…

  • You want free, unlimited self-serve measuring and PDF reports with no trial clock and no card.
  • You'd rather add estimates, material orders and your branding on Pro only when you need them.
  • You want done-for-you reports checked by a second technician, or ESX sketches for your own Xactimate.

RoofSnap alternative questions

Is RoofStruct free to use instead of RoofSnap?
Measuring is. RoofStruct Free gives you unlimited self-serve measuring and the full PDF report with RoofStruct branding, no card and no end date. Branded estimates, material orders and other exports are on Pro. RoofSnap lists a 7-day free trial, then a subscription or pay-as-you-go orders (Oct 2026).
Does RoofStruct sell reports measured for me, like RoofSnap?
Yes. A technician measures the roof and a second technician checks it. Reports are usually delivered within about 4 hours, and turnaround can vary with volume and complexity. RoofSnap's pricing page lists its own ordered reports, billed per order (Oct 2026).
Can I take payments from homeowners in RoofStruct?
Not today. If in-app deposits, payments and homeowner financing matter to you, RoofSnap lists those on its pricing page (Oct 2026). RoofStruct Pro covers branded Good/Better/Best estimates with e-signature.
Can I get an ESX file for Xactimate?
RoofStruct sells ESX sketch orders: roof geometry only, opened in your own Xactimate. RoofStruct isn't affiliated with Verisk. An ESX file was not listed on the RoofSnap pages we checked (Oct 2026).
Where can I compare RoofSnap and RoofStruct prices?
In our roof measurement software comparison, which lists dated prices for RoofSnap, iRoofing, Hover and RoofStruct, checked October 2026. We keep figures off this page because they change often.
