How much does DIY measuring cost?
Nothing — DIY measuring is free and unlimited on every plan, including Free. Trace as many roofs as you want from satellite imagery or your own uploads, and download the full PDF report at no cost (with RoofStruct branding). Paid plans add your own branding, team seats, and extra export formats — never a cap on measurements.
How accurate are the measurements?
Every edge is pitch-aware — lengths reflect the real sloped roof, not the flat satellite projection. Accuracy depends on the imagery you choose. Satellite imagery handles most roofs cleanly; for the sharpest input you can upload your own drone or aerial photo and trace on top of it.
Can I use my own drone images?
Yes. Upload any JPG or PNG as the background and trace on top of it. You can also run AI roof enhancement on your upload for clearer edges.
What does AI roof enhancement actually do?
It cleans up tonal issues — shadows, low contrast, blur — without changing the geometry. Every pixel stays in the same place, just clearer. Applies to custom uploads only, never to satellite imagery.
Do I need any CAD experience?
No. If you can click around a map, you can use the canvas. Keyboard shortcuts (V select / P pen / H pan) speed things up once you get going.
