An ESX sketch is a roof sketch drawn by a RoofStruct technician and delivered as a .ESX file — the native format that imports straight into your Xactimate® estimate — together with a printable PDF reference. You get estimate-ready roof geometry without drawing it yourself. Sketch geometry only — roof outline, facets, pitches and edge lengths. No line items, pricing or supplement: those come from your own Xactimate® price list and macros when you open the file.

How much does an ESX sketch cost?

Residential sketches are $29, or $24 with the Pro discount. Commercial sketches are $79 USD ($59 with Pro). The price is flat per property — facet count never changes what you pay — and it is shown at checkout before you pay.

Do I need Xactimate® to use it?

To import the .ESX file, yes — it is the estimating software the format belongs to. The printable PDF that comes with every sketch is readable by anyone, no software required.

Can I order it together with a roof report?

Yes — tick the ESX add-on during a report checkout and both are produced for the same property in one payment, then delivered together in a single email. The combined price is simply the sum of the two services. You can also order a standalone sketch anytime.
