How they differ
QuickMeasure is an ordered report: you send GAF an address, and a measurement comes back. GAF lists delivery in under an hour for single-family homes and under 24 hours for multi-family buildings. Each report includes an editable 3D rendering and a GAF bill of materials for the takeoff, and an XML data file is listed. It is available nationwide in the US, excluding Alaska (per GAF, Oct 2026).
RoofStruct is a tool you measure with. Pull up the address on satellite imagery or upload your own drone or phone photo, trace the facets, label the edges and set the pitch. The Cost & Takeoff worksheet and water-flow analysis come on every plan, and the full PDF carries RoofStruct branding on Free.
Imagery of any kind can misread pitch on a steep, cut-up roof, and heavy tree cover can hide slopes. That is a limit of the technology, ours included. Check pitch on site when the picture is doubtful.
How each one prices
GAF QuickMeasure bills each report, with no subscription. The price depends on whether you hold GAF Master Elite certification, and multi-family buildings are priced per building (per GAF, Oct 2026). It is simple to budget per job, and the cost grows with every bid you send.
RoofStruct’s free plan has no per-report fee for measuring you do yourself or for the PDF. Pro is a monthly subscription that adds branded Good / Better / Best estimates with e-signature, the Material Order Builder with Smart Waste, CSV, XLSX, JSON and DXF exports, your logo and colors, and up to 5 team members.
The dated QuickMeasure prices are in our EagleView vs Roofr vs GAF QuickMeasure comparison. Run them against your own numbers: if you quote ten roofs to close three, the seven you lose still cost a report each.
Where GAF QuickMeasure is the better pick
If you only need a report now and then, want it back fast, and don’t want a monthly bill, QuickMeasure is built for that. You don’t trace anything, and GAF lists delivery in under an hour for single-family homes.
It also fits if you install GAF systems and want GAF’s bill of materials with the measurement, or if you want an editable 3D rendering with each report. GAF Master Elite contractors get a lower per-report price.
Switching, or using both
You don’t have to choose one for every job. Measure your everyday retail bids yourself in RoofStruct, and order a report when you don’t have time to trace.
If you’d rather hand that off inside RoofStruct, a done-for-you report is measured by a technician and checked by a second one, usually delivered within 4 hours (turnaround varies with volume and complexity). For claim files, an ESX sketch order is geometry only and opens in your own Xactimate. RoofStruct isn’t affiliated with Verisk.
